  1. Beautiful lively orchestral sound and support, but Uchida plays Beethoven
quite like her Mozart.. Which is to say, she is lacking the ooph and
keyboard counterpoint the third piano concerto needs to give the piece more
identification, style, and “middle period” Beethoven musicality. Would
have been a nice live performance to attend, nonetheless, but doesn’t
really need to be in the current CD catalog.

  2. I love the piano but I don’t like the orchestra. Where is the video I used
to listen? with that conductor with white hair, I think Zimmermann. Why
does it happen that I like the best allways the first one I listen?

  3. peu souvent interprèté ce concerto !!!
    dommage !!!

  4. I had the pleasure of seeing Uchida live last year with the Chicago
Symphony. She played two Mozart piano concertos. An experience I’ll never
    forget!

  9. Uchida seems to apply more concentration and seriousness to her Beethoven
than her Mozart, which by the nature of the two composers works, is
understandable. However, the beethoven, at least in these live
performances, shows her with more. ‘Authority ‘ ; which is as it should be
    .

  10. If Lang Lang didn’t exist, Uchida would be the most overrated pianist on
the touring circuit. The body language is the only indicator of
profundity, but it has fooled a lot of people, some of whom should know
    better.
